About the programme

“Yiddish Odesa, or magical stories from the Jewish shtetl”: singer and songwriter Felix Shinder joins violinist Igor Epstein and his ensemble.

Felix Shinder is a chansonnier from Odesa. His performances have taken him to the United States, Latin America, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Poland, among other countries. He sings in Yiddish, Hebrew, Ukrainian and Russian.

Odesa is a meeting place of musical cultures. This programme brings the stories and music of Jewish shtetls to life. Shinder’s voice and Epstein’s violin invite audiences to discover that world.

Epstein’s Klezmer Tov brings Yiddish folk traditions together with jazz, Latin music and classical influences. The acoustic ensemble performs in line-ups from duo to sextet.
